Lil Uzi Vert and JT were recently seen together at the 2026 College Football Playoff National Championship game, which took place on January 19. They attended the game following a special invitation.

In December, Indiana University quarterback Fernando Mendoza mentioned on the “Broadcast Boys” podcast that he wanted the “What You Saying” rapper to attend if his team reached the championship. He formally invited Lil Uzi Vert, stating he would find a way to make it happen despite not having extra tickets.

Mendoza led his team to the title game, and Lil Uzi Vert and JT fulfilled the invitation. Notably, JT supported the Miami Hurricanes, her hometown team. Uzi commented to a sideline reporter that she was rooting for Miami, noting her origins.

During a brief interview with reporters, Uzi described his experience at the game as a fulfillment of a dream he never knew he had. He expressed gratitude to Mendoza for the opportunity.

Indiana’s sports fans and teams are referred to as “Hoosiers,” which led to Lil Uzi Vert being nicknamed “Lil Hoozi Vert.” The atmosphere at the game appeared to inspire Indiana, as the Hoosiers won against the Hurricanes with a score of 27-21, securing the championship.
