Last month, Lil Nas X was released from jail after being arrested, and he has since entered an inpatient treatment facility. The artist behind “Old Town Road” failed to attend a pre-trial hearing in Los Angeles on September 15.

His lawyers told the court that he is receiving treatment at an undisclosed facility in a location outside of California. Rolling Stone reported that Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Shellie Samuels made the decision, stating, “The defendant can stay outside of California as long as he continues with his treatment.”

Judge Samuels has kept secret the precise type of care being provided to Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Hill, but has hinted that discussions may occur if the situation changes to outpatient treatment. The hearing is scheduled to take place in November, according to the outlet.

Drew Findling, Lil Nas X’s lawyer, addressed reporters outside the courthouse, saying: “You’ve all heard the term ‘treatment’ mentioned.” We’re prioritizing what’s in Montero’s best interests, both personally and professionally, above all, for his well-being. The rapper was highlighted as being surrounded by an incredible family and an outstanding team of individuals who care deeply for him and have a lot of affection for him.

“We’re simply dealing with those problems,” Findling said. It comes down to that in the end. He’s lived a wonderful life, and he’s going to keep living a wonderful life. This is a setback that he’s going to recover from.

Previous reports by Naijahomeland stated that Lil Nas X was detained on the morning of August 21, following a response by the Los Angeles police to reports of a naked individual along Ventura Boulevard. He appeared in court four days later, on August 25, and entered a not guilty plea to three counts of battery resulting in injury to a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer.

The judge set a bail of $75,000, also ordering him to attend four Narcotics Anonymous meetings weekly. Lil Nas X later described the experience as “f**king terrifying,” but he assured his fans that he’s coping. Your daughter is going to be fine, everyone. Alright? “He said on his Instagram Stories on August 26, ‘She’s gonna be alright’.”
