Kunmie – My Brother

Nigerian singer Kunmie has released a catchy new song called “My Brother”.

The song’s chorus, both unassuming and deeply moving, serves as a heartfelt tribute that conveys thanks and recognition.

Kunmie’s vocal delivery is smooth, and his lyrics bring to life vivid scenes of growing together, enduring adverse weather conditions, and marking small triumphs.

His verse embodies the fundamental nature of an unspoken bond, forged from a foundation of trust, shared history, and mutual esteem.

The track begins with a sampled voice note from President Tinubu, who expresses his preference for not using social media because of its negative impact.

Kunmie incorporates a sample from Brymo’s 2012 timeless hit “Ara” to give the song a distinctive flavour and a vibrant edge.

“My Brother” was produced by Fade Venom, Drilly, and Shallythechampion, following a remix of “Arike” which featured Simi and Mabel.

Following the release of Kunmie’s debut four-track EP, “Before We Became Strangers,” which was released in March.
