UK DJ and producer DJ Supa D collaborates with Maestro UK for a new remix of Konstance & Seal’s track “Mama,” set to be released on March 13 through Idris Elba’s 7Wallace label.

This remix reinterprets the original as a deep Afro house track, featuring rolling percussion, warm late-night atmospheres, and spiritual vocal textures. The inclusion of subtle shakers and fluid rhythmic patterns creates a hypnotic drive, balancing emotional depth with a groove aimed at the dancefloor.

Supa D has been a prominent figure in UK club culture for over two decades, gaining recognition during the pirate radio era of the late 1990s and early 2000s. He has broadcasted on various stations like Magic 90.2, Mission 90.6, and De Ja Vu 92.3FM and is often associated with the development of UK garage and bass music. His musical range has since expanded to include house, amapiano, and Afro house.

Throughout his career, he has maintained significant residencies on Rinse FM, toured internationally, and performed at major venues such as Ministry of Sound and Fabric, contributing to the evolution of dancefloor culture through his performances and productions. Supa D also operates his own Housupa label, reinforcing his role in the global house and Afro house scenes.

In addition to his musical endeavors, he co-founded the Originals Festival in London, which highlights UK bass and house music. Since its inception in 2017, the festival has become a notable event on London’s music calendar, attracting crowds of up to 10,000 people across various club and festival settings.
