Kodak Black – Single Again + Cluck

Kodak Black Cluck

Kodak Black presents himself as a conflicted romantic in his two new tracks, “Single Again” and “Cluck,” which have been released today as separate singles. This arrangement can be viewed as a pseudo two-pack. The term “conflicted lover” reflects the Florida rapper’s ambivalence towards love; he expresses frustration with it while simultaneously enjoying the attention he receives in social settings. “Single Again” showcases his vulnerability, as he passionately articulates his realization that he is better off apart from a particular woman. He poignantly questions, “Everybody see the best in me / So why the f*ck you see a cheater? / Every time I call you we argue / That’s why I barely ring you.”

In an intriguing twist, Kodak Black offers listeners the female perspective in the second verse, where she candidly reveals her attempts to ensnare him, despite her previous failures in similar endeavors. In contrast, “Cluck” immerses listeners in a more hedonistic atmosphere, where Kodak Black discusses how women are primarily attracted to him for his financial status. While he appears unbothered by this reality, it is worth noting that he has not always maintained such a perspective. The similarities in the artwork for both tracks may hint at an upcoming project, although no official confirmation has been made. In the meantime, listeners can enjoy “Single Again” and “Cluck” below.
