Kodak Black – Imma Shoot

Kodak Black Imma Shoot

It’s fair to say that a considerable amount has been bearing down on Kodak Black this year. The Pompano Beach, Florida based rapper has been constantly coping with relationship issues, legal disputes, and further complications. A part of his current animosity is his sudden beef with NBA YoungBoy.

The once close friends have started to turn on each other since the songwriter of “ZEZE” had some harsh criticisms of Make America Great Again. This led YB to mock Kodak by socialising with ex-Mellow Rackz and also producing music with her.

The 2016 XXL Freshman has undergone significant mental and emotional strain despite some of it possibly being self-inflicted. We mention this because his latest single, “Imma Shoot,” features him suppressing the comedic elements and instead maintaining a malicious tone.

The dark tone is reflected in the production through a hauntingly sung chorus and horrorcore-esque piano melodies. Kodak’s lyrics convey a theme of violence and threatening behaviour towards those who consider challenging him.

A small dog got out of the car, I wonder what he said to the sheriff. Spray the area and then move, there’s a lot of smoke, toxic / Murderers have no respect, not even for onlookers. Spin the new cutthroat cut below.
