Kid Cudi – Once

Kid Cudi is temporarily putting his solo music career on hold. The Cleveland rapper and singer is aware of the significant impact he has on his fans. He’s ensuring they depart with something, despite being only one month removed from the release of his latest album, Free.

On his Soundcloud, he’s released a new single titled “Once,” which he’s referring to as his “goodbye for now” track. Kid Cudi also credits the track, stating “It was produced by myself with my friend Sebastian, who added extra elements throughout.” I wanted to leave you with something special before taking a break, coming from the heart.

You’ll be hearing me featured on my friends’ albums, but as far as I’m concerned, I need to step into the background and focus on my other aspirations. I will miss you all. Hopefully, this song will fill you with joy and motivate you to keep moving forward. Take care, y’all – Scott.

Cudi initially stated that he would be stepping back from the musical spotlight earlier this month via his X account, explaining “I think I’ll officially take a step back for a while from dropping albums and focus on directing, more acting, painting and fashion for sure. It’s going to be a while until you all hear another album from me, but I guarantee that when I do return, it will not be uninteresting.

This is a truly unfortunate time for hip-hop as his work has had a profoundly significant and far-reaching effect. Numerous fans have credited the versatile individual for being a literal lifesaver through his honest and personal lyrics.

It’s perfectly fine to take a break sometimes. It appears Cudi might benefit from taking a mental and creative break, which could ultimately be a positive outcome.
