Kevin Gates Is Being Asked To Pay $73K Monthly For Child And Spousal Support By Dreka Gates

Kevin Gates may have to pay a substantial amount due to a family dispute. The estranged wife of the Baton Rouge rapper, Dreka Gates, is requesting child and spousal support.

In late July 2025, Dreka Gates filed for divorce nearly a decade into her marriage. The date of their separation was recorded as July 10, with the reason given as “irreconcilable differences.”

She was asking for spousal maintenance and child support for their two kids, a 12-year-old girl named Islah Koren and an 11-year-old boy named Khaza Gates. Dreka was also seeking joint legal and physical custody.

TMZ reported on Thursday, October 23, that Dreka is seeking an order from a judge for Kevin Gates to pay $27,193 a month in child support and $46,274 a month in spousal support. Dreka stated that in 2021, Islah’s rapper started to “tear down the financial base of their family.” She claims he ceased paying essential bills, including their children’s private school fees and property taxes. Allegedly, the IRS has filed a lien on their Mississippi farm, which is now facing foreclosure, for $7 million in unpaid taxes.

When times were better, in addition to taking care of her family, Dreka also handled the affairs of Kevin Gates from the outset of his career. They were married in October 2015. According to the documentation, Kevin Gates now asserts that they were never lawfully married, a stance she describes as “factually baseless.”

The couple had their fair share of confirmed (and unconfirmed) drama as well. In a June 2025 interview with Bootleg Kev, Brittany Renner stated that she was married to Kevin Gates on April 6 and they were divorced by May 28. It was clearly before Dreka filed for divorce.

In May 2025, Dreka strongly denied allegations that she was unfaithful to Kevin with a personal trainer. “I’ve never had any sort of intimate or romantic experiences with my personal trainer or any other paid assistant and will never,” she said online.

Kevin Gates has remained silent on the previously mentioned issues.
