Kehlani currently has one of the hottest R&B singles globally. On 22 October, the singer announced that “Folded” is set to receive a special Homage Pack, which, as its name implies, will include remixes from influential voices of bygone eras.

The flyer declared, “Get ready for the homage pack,” and it perfectly complemented the “Nini’s Fluff & Fold” motif featured in the music video of the viral song. Kehlani has confirmed that Toni Braxton, Brandy, and JoJo will appear on the release. Mario, Ne-Yo, and Tank will be supporting the male artists.

“This has been an incredible privilege,” Kehlani captioned the post. Fortunately, several artists featured on the Folded Homage Pack have previously taken part in the song’s viral singing challenge, enabling fans to begin guessing their preferred participants.

On October 20, Kehlani explained how “Folded” was created during an interview with their daughter, Adeya Nomi Parrish Young-White. I worked alongside my friends. I had travelled to Miami for business. They explained that after hearing the beat, they loved it and decided to take it into a room where they and some collaborators created the song together.

Kehlani further stated that she thought it was a very cool way to return to music after she hadn’t released music for a while. I felt fairly certain about it. I considered it a good song. The track was submitted in the categories of Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance for the 2026 Grammys, where it could potentially compete against Leon Thomas’ “MUTT” and Mariah the Scientist’s “Burning Blue.”

A Kehlani album is scheduled for release in 2026, and we have something to anticipate. Fans can likely anticipate hearing “Folded” and their upcoming single “Out The Window” on the project, despite a lack of information on a release date.
