Kehlani Confirms Release Of New Album Scheduled For 2026 During Heartwarming Interview With Her Daughter Adeya

Kehlani is currently having one of their most successful years, musically, and indications are that 2026 will be just as impressive. The singer of “Nights Like This” confirmed on Monday (Oct. 20) that they are currently working on a new album due for release next year.

In an interview conducted by their daughter Adeya Nomi Parrish Young-White, Kehlani was questioned, “Are you currently working on a new album?” I’m currently working on a new album, I know. They’re breaking into their “new album dance” after saying it’s coming next year.

Although Kehlani didn’t confirm when the new LP will be released, fans can likely expect to see “Folded” on the upcoming album. Since its release in June, the colossal hit became Oakland native’s highest-charting solo single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song also inspired covers by Brandy, Tank, Jacquees, and Mario, among several others.

I was collaborating with my companions. I was on a business trip in Miami. I heard the beat and I loved it, so I took it into a room and I made the song together with some collaborators,” Kehlani explained to Adeya about how “Folded” was created.

“They thought it was a cool way to return to music after not releasing anything for a while,” they continued. I felt fairly certain about it. I considered it a good song. It’s anticipated that confidence will be rewarded at the 2026 Grammy Awards. Kehlani submitted “Folded” for Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song.

In the meantime, Kehlani is already preparing to release a new track called “Out The Window.” On Monday, they posted another snippet on their social media and suggested that they might perform it live at the ONE Musicfest over the weekend.
