Cardi B’s much-anticipated second album, AM I THE DRAMA? , was released at midnight on September 19. At the same time, a music video for the song “Safe,” featuring Kehlani, was also shared. On Instagram, Kehlani expressed her happiness about their collaboration with a heartfelt message.

“Congrats, my dear,” Kehlani started off. “Seeing you do this while pregnant for the second time? It’s truly inspiring. ” It’s worth mentioning that Cardi was also pregnant when she released Invasion of Privacy in 2018, which was the same year they worked together on the “Ring” music video.

“I walked onto the set for the second time and I was amazed to see a little person with a big belly on set for hours, bringing so much joy. I’m really proud of you,” Kehlani continued. “It’s an honor to see your journey. You fill me with inspiration because you are such a strong person. ”

“You’ve built something that no one can take from you, and you’ve done it while being an amazing mom! You deserve everything, girl. Thanks for inviting me again. We’re not just the ‘Ring’ girls from 2018 anymore,” they added. Along with her kind words, Kehlani also shared some fun behind-the-scenes photos from the “Safe” music video, including a funny clip of them goofing around.

It’s clear that this year has been fantastic for both Kehlani and Cardi. “Folded” became the best solo single for Kehlani on the Billboard Hot 100, reached their first Top 10 spot on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart, and recently inspired cover songs from Jacquees and Brandy.

On the other hand, Cardi, who has won Grammy awards, is shining brightly during her pregnancy with NFL player Stefon Diggs. She has also finally released the album that her fans have anticipated for seven years. AM I THE DRAMA? includes collaborations with artists like Tyla, Summer Walker, Megan Thee Stallion, Janet Jackson, and many more. She will promote the album with a meet-and-greet tour this weekend and will officially go on tour in February 2026.
