Kehlani Achieves Their First Top 10 Placement On The Billboard Hot 100 Chart With The Song “Folded”

Kehlani has achieved their first-ever Top 10 chart position on the Billboard Hot 100. On November 3, Monday, the publication confirmed that “Folded” rose seven positions to take its place at No. Currently ranked seventh on this week’s chart.

The surge is attributed to the Folded Homage Pack, which included renowned guests such as Toni Braxton, Brandy, and JoJo for the female artists, and Mario, Ne-Yo, and Tank for the male artists. Billboard observed that “all versions except for the one with Tank contribute to the song’s singular chart listing,” as Kehlani’s vocals were “more minimized” on his remix.

In total, “Folded” accumulated 13 million streams and an additional 3,000 in pure sales. View the detailed chart analysis that follows.

Kehlani shared the story behind “Folded” in a conversation last month with her daughter, Adeya Nomi Parrish Young-White. My friends and I were working together. I was on a business trip in Miami. I heard the beat and I really liked it, so I took it into a room and worked on it with my collaborators.

“The artist continued, ‘I just really thought it was a really cool way to come back into music after I hadn’t put music out for a while.'” I felt fairly certain about it. I considered it to be a good song.

Since “Folded” initially appeared in June, Kehlani has released an a cappella version, titled “(un)Folded,” along with remixes by Jacquees and Plies. Following its initial chart success, the song was officially entered for Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance at the 2026 Grammys.

Next in line is Kehlani, who is preparing to launch their new single “Out The Window” on Friday, November 7. The cover was photographed by Markus Klinko, a photographer who worked on Beyoncé’s Dangerously In Love album.

Confirmation has also been given that a new album will be released in 2026, although it remains uncertain if either “Folded” or the upcoming album will be included.
