Kai Cenat Releases ‘I Quit’ Video, Announces New Fashion Brand

Kai Cenat has announced that he is stepping back, though his intentions may not align with common assumptions. The well-known streamer released a 23-minute video titled “I Quit” on Tuesday, January 13, discussing his aspiration to transition from being a content creator to establishing himself as a fashion designer.

In a style reminiscent of a documentary, Cenat opens up about his experiences with self-doubt. He mentions, “I quit overthinking. I quit staying in my head about [whether] the goals I pursue are going to work or not. I want to push limits to see how much I truly can create in life.”

The vulnerability displayed by the 24-year-old is recognized by his audience, as he has previously shared insights into his mental health challenges. His struggles are partly attributed to his wish to leave behind the streaming industry that brought him fame in pursuit of his aspiration to launch his own fashion brand.

Given that Cenat is among the most successful streamers globally, his circumstances may be considered more favorable than those of others. To explore this new interest, the Brooklyn resident traveled to Italy for several months to gain practical experience in sewing and clothing design, including denim and shoes.

“This is my first time [having] a passion — a true passion for something besides content creation,” Cenat tells his mother in the video. Towards the end of the video, Cenat discloses the name of his clothing line: Vivet. He explains the concept to his mother, stating, “Vivet is Latin for ‘he, she or it will live forever.’ But the deeper meaning behind ‘vivet’ is to not be boxed into what society is trying to only box you in [as].”
