Joyner Lucas – NVM

Joyner Lucas has released a new music video for the song “NVM” which features Mýa. The track begins with Lucas rapping in the voice of Mya’s character, expressing her discontent with her partner while they’re lying in bed together. “He lingered for far too long, expecting things to get back to normal, but you no longer respect me, I’ve noticed it in your expression,” he raps.

From there, the story shifts to the man’s point of view as he reminisces about the positive aspects of their time together. They used to be best friends but are now constantly at odds. Viewers in the comments section of the music video on YouTube are already showing their love for it. “Joyner is just too good at what he does,” one top response states. One more fan comments: “Without a doubt, one of the greatest of all time, keep providing us with these songs.”

Lucas released his third studio album, ADHD 2, in July prior to the latest announcement. He worked with a variety of artists on that album, including Ava Max, T-Pain, Blackbear, Ty Dolla Sign, Big Sean, J Balvin, DaBaby, Fireboy DML, and Chris Brown. His collaboration with Mya follows previous work with Kevin Hart and Denzel Washington, who were also featured in skits on that album.

In the same month that Lucas released ADHD 2, he was also making headlines due to his feud with Skepta. The two artists exchanged a number of diss tracks targeted at each other.
