Jorja Smith – The Way I Love You

Jorja Smith The Way I Love You

Since the September 2023 release of her second album, Falling or Flying, Jorja Smith has been capitalizing on the success that it achieved. In the year 2024, she issued a revised version of the highly praised record. The re-release included simplified versions and updated arrangements of numerous key tracks from the original album. Following that, she released the outstanding “High” and the carefree “Crush” along with her longtime friend and collaborator AJ Tracey. She’s now back with “The Way I Love You,” a house track that brings to mind a different era in music.

Jorja Smith continues a club-heavy style in “The Way I Love You” produced by Maverick Sabre, Ed Thomas, and Shayk; this is a direction she initially explored on her previous album, particularly in the notable song “Little Things”. The song’s style evokes memories of late 1990s or early 2000s house music. Singer Jorja Smith focuses on a romantic relationship in her music. She makes it clear that she’ll never feel the same level of love for anyone as she does for the person the song is about. It appears likely that Smith’s forthcoming album has been influenced by the house and UK garage genres based on her latest output. It will be intriguing to hear the full version of it across an entire release. In addition to his upcoming tour, Smith will visit the United Kingdom, performing at various festivals across the country over the summer, making this song a suitable release prior to those scheduled dates. Give “The Way I Love You” a listen before then.
