A member of the Clipse had the superior verse on JID’s “Community”. The East Atlanta rapper attributes the action to Malice. On the Tuesday night of September 23, during a Q&A session following Apple Music’s “One Night Only” concert, JID was questioned about his collaboration with God Does Like Ugly.

JID initially insisted that he couldn’t pit brothers against each other.” Ebro Darden’s prompt led him to concede that they would go with Malice, citing the Jesus Shuttleworth-Nasir line.

The referenced line was, “Some were Jesus Shuttlesworth, some of us were Nasirs / As time passes, it’s an eye for an eye here / My crew is deep, the fittest are going to survive here.” View the video clip provided below.

When it comes to Clipse, “Community” stood out as one of the most lyrically impressive tracks on the album. JID delivered verses about Tupac Shakur and Bob the Builder, while Pusha T vividly described himself flipping cars in his neighborhood and later referenced the TV series “The Wire”.

JID discussed the significance of God Does Like Ugly in another part of the conversation. For me, this album was the one that really mattered. He needed to get it out in the open, he said. The title “God Does Like Ugly” is simply a representation of how the world appears through individual perspectives. What one man considers worthless, another person might value highly.

It was both a very sensitive and a crucial moment. It feels like a good time to release music. This 15-song album also features Westside Gunn, Vince Staples, EARTHGANG, Ciara, and Don Toliver, among other notable artists.

JID is preparing for his “God Does Like Paradise Tour”, which commences on October 15 in Virginia Beach. Young Nudy, Baby Kia, and Niko Brim will be accompanied by a few other notable guests throughout the event.
