JID – Beau

JID is scheduled to release his new album, God Does Like Ugly, on August 8th. In the view of many, this album has the potential to elevate the artist to superstardom status. The Atlanta MC has chosen to let fans preview his upcoming work nearly a month prior to the album’s release.

JID announced that he will be releasing the GDLU Preluxe on July 4th this Friday. In this day and age, it’s particularly innovative, especially considering that deluxe albums are often made available just one week following their initial release. It’s evident that he has a sense of confidence in his artistic work and desires to convey that to his audience. Tuesday introduced the “32 (Freestyle),” but we now have another song, “Beau.”

JID outperforms himself on this track with rapping that places him in a league of his own. The skeletal production is eerily sinister and likely to cause you to bump your head. The MC delivers a diverse array of flows, along with a memorable hook.

What lends this song its impressive nature is that JID saw it as unworthy of inclusion on his album. If this kind of quality can’t even be found on God Does Like Ugly, then we may just have an album in contention for album of the year. The artist hopefully delivers on his promise, and we receive some incredible tracks by tomorrow morning.
