JID – Animals (Pt. I) ft. Eminem

JID Animals Pt. I ft. Eminem

JID and Eminem exhibit distinct artistic styles. One thing they have in common is impressive lyrical skill. They can also rap at the speed of light. Those attributes are prominently showcased on “Animals (Pt. I).”

The final release of the Georgia MC’s GDLU (Preluxe) serves as the prelude to the highly anticipated God Does Like Ugly album. JID announced this EP in the visualizer for his latest freestyle, “32,” which was released on YouTube on July 1.

Per the Dreamville signee on Instagram, “4 rap songs that were almost on the album and I felt I had to share!! […] all these songs are a part of the GDLU so the ones on YouTube can be playlisted with these 4 (except32 freestyle) thank you again.”

Given the information, it appears that JID’s magnum opus is on the horizon. The fact that he’s willing to pass on an Eminem collaboration for an album is a testament to his high standards, which have been exceedingly refined thus far.

It’s clear why this track was omitted, as the verses seem more spontaneous and lack a defined theme, differing from the usual structure. They rap with an intense ferocity and maintain a high level of aggression at a ten out of ten.

It does the loosie thing exceptionally well and is a great deal of fun to listen to for what it is. Give “Animals (Pt. I)” its well-deserved spin below.
