Jackboys & Travis Scott – 2000 Excursion

Jackboys Travis Scott 2000 Excursion 1

Travis Scott has been building anticipation for Jackboys 2 over a considerable period, with speculation suggesting that the project might be released sometime this summer. There has been a significant amount of hype surrounding the compilation tape, particularly amid Scott’s one-sided feud with Pusha T. With Clipse’s album dropping on Friday, there have been questions about whether Scott’s would also drop on the same day.

The project’s release date remains unspecified, but pre-orders have been made available as of today. In fact, these pre-orders included a new song titled “2000 Excursion.” This track was previously known as “B&B” in several snippets. We now have an official version of the song available.

The track features Don Toliver and Sheck Wes, with Scott acting as its primary vocalist. In addition, we have a drum sample from Kanye West’s 2010 song “POWER.” It is unclear whether Ye endorsed this particular use of his song.

Ultimately, this song has a dark, upbeat tone to it. Toliver’s vocals stand out on the hook, as Sheck Wes and Travis appear to be capturing the same atmosphere. The track is characteristic of these three artists, and one may speculate about the extent of experimentation on the album. Currently scheduled to appear on the album are GloRilla, Tyla, and 21 Savage.
