The last-ever Dreamville Fest is now entering its countdown phase. The full lineup for the event was revealed on Monday, March 17, and features performances by Lil Wayne, 21 Savage and J. Cole headlined the bittersweet farewell ceremony.
The festival’s social media account posted on Instagram, saying “See you one last time.” Hot Boys members, including Juvenile, Turk, and B.G., are expected to perform alongside Lil Wayne. In addition to Big Tymers, which consisted of Mannie Fresh and Birdman, there was also a presence on day one. Not everyone may be enthusiastic about a recycled “Lil’ Weezyana Tour” set, but it could potentially serve as a nostalgic experience for millennials in attendance.
Also on the bill is PARTYNEXTDOOR, who has built momentum after releasing some sexy songs with Drake, suggesting that April 5 could be the perfect opportunity for Drake to return. Attendees of the festival can also anticipate live acts from Ludacris, Chief Keef, Keyshia Cole, Young Nudy, Ab-Soul, Kai Cash and Niko Brim, in addition to the regular Dreamville performers: Ari Lennox, Bas, Lute and Omen.
In contrast, day two is somewhat less crowded. In conjunction with J. Headlining the event, artists including Erykah Badu, Tems, GloRilla, JID, Wale, Coco Jones, EARTHGANG, BigXthaPlug, Anycia, Cozz, and AKIA join Cole as part of the lineup. Presale tickets became available back in December 2024, and although both general admission and VIP passes are still up for sale, the event organisers are cautioning that there aren’t many left.
Can Dreamville Fest 2025 Meet the High Standards Set by Its Past Editions?
Similar to the previous year’s event, Dreamville Fest 2025 appears to be a mixed bag for many individuals who attended from the beginning. “A comment with over 1,000 likes expressed the desire to see Doechii and Leon Thomas perform.” It was observed that individuals born after 2000 may not fully appreciate the importance of this grouping, and that’s perfectly understandable.
The increasing strain on Hip Hop fans is due to last year’s highly publicized disputes among rappers and the continuous emergence of new artists. Although April’s final Dreamville Fest may not equal the star-studded lineup of 2023, which included headliners Drake, Usher, and Burna Boy, J. Cole’s annual event’s lasting impact cannot be ignored. Artists including SZA, Big Sean, Nicki Minaj, Lil Baby, and Kehlani have all performed on the festival’s stage at some point.
