J. Cole Announces The Release Date For ‘The Fall-Off’ And Shares The Album Trailer

J. Cole’s album, The Fall-Off, is set to be released on February 6. The announcement was made on January 14, where a trailer showcased Cole washing a car at a self-service station and sitting at a restaurant counter. A narrator reflects on the tendency to discuss celebrities whose fame has diminished, questioning why people focus on their past successes rather than the rarity of such achievements.

The narration elaborates on the fleeting nature of fame, emphasizing that few individuals reach those heights, making it natural for someone else to take their place. The trailer concludes with music from the new album as the title is revealed.

Along with the trailer, Cole provided a link to the album’s website, where fans can pre-order the vinyl. The description mentions that this is the first pressing of The Fall-Off and notes that the Stealth Edition will be a unique offering.

At this point, no singles have been confirmed for The Fall-Off. However, Cole has released several songs in recent years, including “t h e . c l i m b . b a c k” and “Lion King On Ice” in 2020, as well as “Port Antonio” and “cLOUDs” the following year. It is considered unlikely that the latter two will appear on the album due to their context as response tracks or separate releases.

Additionally, there was a lawsuit filed by Cam’ron against Cole last year regarding their collaboration on “Ready ‘24.”
