Fans of Ty Dolla $ign are eagerly awaiting his next solo album, TYCOON, while still inquiring about the status of another project, VULTURES 3, which appears to be on hold. In an online video posted on Tuesday (Oct. 7), the “Paranoid” artist provided an update on the highly anticipated third collaborative album between himself and Kanye West.

Ty responded by saying there was a significant amount of music that had already been completed. It might have been released then. He then mentioned, “But, how do I put this? 6-7, 41.” Some users humorously joked that the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter was suggesting a 2041 release date, yet others were unsure about his intended meaning.

The terms “6-7” and “41” are part of Gen Alpha slang, lacking a clear definition and used in various contexts to convey humour. Skrilla helped popularize the former through February’s “Doot Doot,” in which he rapped, “The way that switch brrt, I know he’s dying / 6-7, I just swerved right onto the highway.”

It appears that VULTURES 3 has been put on hold indefinitely at this time.

Ty and West provided us with two excellent albums, VULTURES 1 and VULTURES 2. A number of the Chicago lyricist’s former associates appear to be disassociating themselves from him in the wake of his anti-Semitic remarks made in February.

Around the same period, the “Purple Emoji” artist publicly denounced hate speech in response to Ye’s since-removed posts targeting Jewish individuals and several of his colleagues. Ty stated, “I do not endorse any type of hate speech directed at anyone,” accompanied by raised fist emojis in various skin tones.

In related news, the video game TYCOON is due to be released on October 17. So far, he has teased the album with songs such as “ALL IN” and “SMILE BODY PRETTY FACE” which feature Kodak Black and YG.
