IDK & Cordae – Prince George

IDK Cordae Prince George

They’ve struggled to maintain a slower pace over the past year or so, given the release of an album, its deluxe edition, and a large number of singles. He’s been helping out on the streets, and we are extremely grateful for his contributions. Notably when he drops tracks like “Prince George,” for instance.

This track features a guest appearance by fellow Maryland rapper Cordae, a first-time collaborator. The two admired rappers exchange some heavy lyric verses that also convey a sense of lone wolf attitude. They are taking a good look at what they have in life and not assuming it will always be there.

When there are individuals attempting to discredit or exploit you, it’s crucial to be cautious. IDK raps, “Before opening up, I always check through the peephole / Yet, even if I know you, it could be your associates.”

Cordae further elaborates on his verse, “My life is like a Rubik’s cube, every move is lovely / Despite the world being extremely harsh, the n**** keeps making progress / Late nights spent watching Lethal Weapon have instilled a strong fixation with success, man / Lonely days are often spent watching Netflix.”

The performance is carried out over a whimsical instrumental dominated by woodwind sounds, a style that both rappers are highly skilled at handling. This is a duo that we initially didn’t realise we required, but we are now certain that we do.
