Ice Spice’s Sheer Lace Dress At 'The SpongeBob Movie' Premiere Has Generated Significant Discussion

Ice Spice is pursuing her acting career, but she is maintaining her fashion style. On Wednesday, December 17, the Bronx artist attended the New York City premiere of The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants in an outfit that garnered attention.

The rapper, known for “Munch (Feelin’ U),” makes her voice-acting debut in the film, where she plays the character Ticket Taker. This animated fish has an orange Afro resembling the hairstyle Ice Spice often sports.

Additionally, Ice Spice contributed a song titled “Big Guy” to the film’s soundtrack. The music video for the song was released the previous month and features her enjoying a ride on the fictional Twisting Totem roller coaster at Captain Booty Beard’s Fun Park. The track is produced by her frequent collaborator, RIOTUSA.

At the premiere, Ice Spice attracted significant attention mainly for her outfit. She wore a sheer dress from Blumarine that highlighted her curvy figure. Although the dress had long sleeves and flowed down to her feet, the lacy material was revealing, exposing her undergarments. This choice of attire received criticism, particularly since SpongeBob is aimed at children and the film, scheduled for release in theaters on Friday, December 19, is rated PG.

The track features her rapping in Spanish with a dembow-influenced beat. Ice Spice commented, “This was a fun record for me.
