The year 2025 brought various developments, notably the collaboration between Ice Spice and Latto with the release of “Gyatt” in September. According to Ice Spice, there was never any significant conflict between them.

On December 22, during an episode of “Watch What Happens Live!” with Andy Cohen, Ice was asked about resolving her supposed feud with Latto and the enjoyable aspects of filming the music video for their collaboration. She mentioned, “What made me wanna squash it? It wasn’t a real beef to begin with, to be honest.”

In the previous year, the two rappers exchanged remarks through the tracks “Think U The S**t (Fart)” and “Sunday Service,” along with some social media interactions. However, the situation did not escalate significantly. The song “Think U The S**t (Fart)” was included in Ice’s debut album, Y2K!, while “Sunday Service,” along with its remix featuring Megan Thee Stallion and Flo Milli, was part of Latto’s Sugar Honey Iced Tea. During this exchange, Latto indicated to Billboard that she believed Ice was not interested in pursuing an actual rap feud.

“Everybody gon’ take their lil’ jabs in the music, and it’s not even that serious to me. I feel like you should do that. Continue to!” Latto stated. “But as far as actual whole diss records to each other, I don’t think she would even want to do that.”

“Gyatt” was released during a productive year for both Ice and Latto musically. Directed by Hidji World, the music video was launched shortly after the single and featured appearances from Deshae Frost and Tylil James.

Ice commented to her fans on “Watch What Happens Live!” saying, “The whole video was so fun. It was, like, everybody was just joking around the whole time, to the point where I remember my manager was like, ‘Can y’all wrap it up? Hurry up.’ It was really fun… Shoutout to Latto.”
