Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has once again confirmed the end of Psquare, officially closing the chapter on the iconic music duo.
In a recent statement, Rudeboy expressed his frustrations with the dynamics of the group, highlighting that he was responsible for most of the work while others benefited equally. Reflecting on his time with Psquare, Rudeboy shared, “Those days of ‘monkey dey work, baboon dey chop,’ I no dey do am again. Every time na only me dey sing all the songs.” His remarks emphasized the unequal effort he felt he contributed during their time together.
Rudeboy made it clear that he now prefers to focus on his solo career, confirming that the end of Psquare is final. Fans who once hoped for a reunion of one of Nigeria’s most celebrated music duos now have to come to terms with the end of Psquare and Rudeboy’s new direction as an independent artist.
