Famous music producers, The Alchemist and Hit-Boy, are teaming up. They have announced that they will be putting out a joint album named Goldfish.

On Tuesday, October 7, they said that Goldfish will come out on October 24. At the same time, a short film with the same title will also be released, and it’s said to star the well-known actor Danny Trejo. According to HipHopDX, the short film will tell the story of a group of hitmen pretending to be carpet cleaners who are trying to quit their life of crime amidst a lot of chaos.

Last Friday, on October 3, the two released a track called “Business Merger” along with a music video directed by Isaac Garcia. With regal horns and sharp beats, The Alchemist and Hit-Boy rap with confidence, setting the mood for their upcoming project. They will showcase their rapping skills using each other’s beats.

Saying that The Alchemist and Hit-Boy are great Hip Hop producers does not fully capture their talent. The Alchemist has worked with well-known artists like Mobb Deep, Fat Joe, Jadakiss, and Ghostface Killah. Hit-Boy also has an impressive list of artists he has made beats for, including A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar, and Nas.

Their talent is clear, and they’ve been working together for a long time. In 2024, they released a three-song project called THEODORE & ANDRE and another one called Black & Whites, which included Hit-Boy’s dad, known as Big Hit. They also shared the production work on Benny The Butcher’s debut album for Def Jam Recordings called Everybody Can’t Go. In late July 2025, The Alchemist released Alfredo 2, a collaboration with rapper Freddie Gibbs that received great reviews.
