“Hilarious To The Point Of Insanity” Fans React To “The Vince Staples Show” Season 2’s Netflix Debut

After two seasons, “The Vince Staples Show” remains one of the funniest options available on Netflix. The comedy series resumed on Thursday (Nov. 6) on the streaming platform with six new episodes, an increase of one more episode than the previous season, as it followed Vince Staples on his journey to his Uncle James’ funeral.

Vanessa Bell Calloway and Naté Jones reprised their roles as recurring guest stars, with Zack Fox making his debut. Following a devastating loss, Vince sets out on a tumultuous quest for personal serenity. His journey is disrupted by constant reminders of a troubled history.

Viewers flooded social media to express their opinions, with many expressing their desire for the series to be renewed for an additional season. Someone commented on X, “This is the funniest show I’ve watched in a minute.” The first episode of Season 2 was found to be hilariously funny, just as anticipated.

A user on the social media platform declared “The Vince Staples Show” Season 2 an “instant classic.” The writers described the initial three episodes as utterly chaotic. The last three episodes were also great, but the first three were excellent. Throughout the six-episode run, another joked that the “Big Fish” artist consistently finds himself in such unusual circumstances.

The one criticism fans seemed to have — if you can even label it as such — is the show’s duration. One person expressed the hope that ‘The Vince Staples Show’ had been 20 episodes. Another user pointed out that Vince could have provided 50-minute episodes. Every episode in Season 2, except for the first one, is under 25 minutes long.

Staples explained that they’re able to develop 365 episodes of this story because each one is based on the daily experiences of just existing. He shared this insight with Netflix’s Tudum prior to Season 2, noting that for Vince, anything could potentially happen at any moment. That’s simply the way life operates.
