Halle Bailey – Back and Forth

Halle Bailey Back and Forth

The Little Mermaid star Halle Bailey is set to make a rare public appearance with her performance in “Back and Forth” this weekend. The 24-year-old’s latest release is their first solo single since the August track “Because I Love You.” Compared to her sister, she tends to be more cautious about releasing new music. Chloe is stepping away from her sophomore project Trouble In Paradise, along with notable collaborations with artists such as Joey Bada$$, Childish Gambino, and Khalid. It’s not a result of lacking confidence or talent. Halle’s evident talents become apparent whenever she decides to share her creativity, which is why we’re so looking forward to her new project release. With “Back and Forth” now available, it’s got us convinced that an album announcement can’t be too far off.

On the track “Back and Forth”, Halle Bailey’s vocals convey the emotions of someone who is in a relatively new relationship with someone who has had a history of unloving partners. In the first verse, she implores this man, saying, “Sometimes, you trip on me / And I’m aware it’s due to my not being what you’re accustomed to / Get your emotions out for me / No one has loved you like me; I would never deceive you.” She is looking for a healthy relationship, specifically with this individual. Halle is aware of the potential and simply wants to move forward with the plan as things become more confrontational towards the end. “And you wouldn’t want to disagree with me, with me (Ah-ah) / You say I’ve been a bad girl, show me, teach me (Ah-ah).” Check out Halle’s latest endeavour below.
