Gyakie – harmattan ft. Shatta Wale

Gyakie After Midnight Album

Ghanaian singer Gyakie has put out a notable song, “harmattan,” which is heavily influenced by dancehall music.

“The title of ‘harmattan’ encapsulates its blend of Afro-fusion and dancehall energy, which captures the essence of the seasonal transition.”

This is a love song with a flirtatious vibe, perfect for dancing with your partner at a club or party.

Gyakie’s smooth vocals glide effortlessly over the production, her lyrics painting vivid imagery of love, change, and resilience.

A sense of renewal and purification is conveyed, encompassing both interpersonal connections and personal growth.

Shatta Wale’s entrance brings his signature dancehall swagger, injecting the track with a vibrant contrast thanks to his deep, commanding vocals that add texture.

The song “harmattan” was produced by SOSA and taken from Gyakie’s debut album “After Midnight,” which comprises 17 tracks.

The album includes guest performances by Young Jonn, Omar Sterling, Shatta Wale, 6LACK, Headie One, and Kojey Radical.

The album “After Midnight” was preceded by Gyakie’s earlier singles “Unconditional” and “Sankofa,” released only weeks beforehand.
