Gunna is transferring his athletic abilities to the UK. The Atlanta-based rapper has been named captain of the USA team for the NFL’s upcoming Flag Football game on YouTube, specifically the London edition.

Variety reports that Gunna will captain the USA team, while the London squad’s team captain is British rapper Aitch. The 7 on 7 flag football game will take place on October 11 at the Copper Box Arena. The YouTube livestream will begin globally at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

The team is comprised of several former NFL players and well-known individuals, such as Speedy Morman and Deestroying, a YouTube creator, along with Diana Flores, a flag football player, at quarterback, and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, a former NFL star. According to Gunna, he is now prepared to contribute his energy to the team and act as its leader, as stated in a recent press release. “It’s fantastic to collaborate with the NFL and YouTube on a project that fosters a sense of community among people.”

Aitch’s team consists of former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, as well as comedian Adam W, Phoebe Schecter and Tommy Fury. “When the NFL asked me to be a team captain, I was completely exhausted,” said Aitch in a press statement. Witnessing the explosion of American football in the U.K. has been astonishing, and I now get to play on the field with some of the world’s top athletes, creators, and entertainers.

Kay Adams, a sportscaster, will present a pre-game show, while YouTube personality Duke Dennis will offer colour commentary throughout the game. The entire event will also be broadcast simultaneously by streamers Deestroying and Ross Smith.

Over the weekend of this year’s Super Bowl, YouTube and the NFL staged their inaugural flag football game in New Orleans, with streamers Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed acting as the team captains. The partnership is expected to persist through the next three Super Bowls and international matches.
