GloRilla’s Speech At The 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards Delivered A Powerful Message To Her Critics: ‘Just Look At My Achievements’

GloRilla has successfully endured despite numerous attempts to dismiss her. On the night of 17 March, during the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards, Victoria Monét and Feid presented GloRilla with the award for Hip Hop Artist of the Year.

It’s been a while since I last received an award, so I pulled out my prepared acceptance speech. She extended gratitude to iHeartRadio, the program directors, DJs, Yo Gotti, Interscope Records, Collective Music Group, and her management. To begin with, I need to express my gratitude to a higher power. The artist hinted that they will bring everyone back. “Bless God first.”

In one of her most relatable statements of the year, GloRilla said, “Don’t let anyone tell you what you can’t do, because they tried to count me out, but look where I am.” Numerous people have witnessed the rapper striving to establish herself within the genre, whether that’s being pitted against Sexyy Red on stan Twitter or solidifying her position through her impressive recent feature appearances. Many of us have watched the rapper fight for her spot in the genre, whether it’s stan Twitter pitting her against Sexyy Red or proving herself through the incredible feature run she’s been on lately.

GloRilla took the stage in an all-gold ensemble before accepting her award, performing a medley from her debut album GLORIOUS, which Monét described as “amazing.” The song “NEVER FIND” was released by her, featuring fellow Memphis artist K Carbon. The 25-year-old rapper delivered the lyrics, saying “Walking like I’m talking, backing it up just like I’m supposed to,” over the underrated bonus track of the project. From there, viewers were treated to the Taylor Swift-endorsed “WHATCHU KNOW ABOUT ME,” with Sexyy Red appearing midway through to a cheering crowd.

GloRilla shared a side-by-side video with fans on Tuesday, March 18, set to her 2021 song “Set The Tone.” On the left, she is depicted in her stunning black evening gown from the previous night, whereas the right-hand image captures her in the studio before she achieved fame. The achievement served as a timely reminder that diligent effort can yield positive results, and for the Memphis star, it marks the start of even greater accomplishments.
