GloRilla Stated That she And Young Thug Are On Good Terms Following A Leaked Jail Call, Saying, "We Talked"

GloRilla has no hard feelings towards Young Thug following a leaked jail call in which he made negative comments about her appearance.

On December 3, she responded to Complex’s Jordan Rose about whether she and Young Thug had communicated after his apology, stating that they are on good terms. GloRilla mentioned, “We talked.”

When asked if the conversation was difficult, she clarified, “It was a funny conversation. You know, I don’t take a lot of stuff too serious. I joke, especially if it ain’t no death or fighting matter.” She added, “We talked after that. We cool, we cool.”

Rose also hinted at the possibility of a collaboration on GloRilla’s upcoming sophomore album, to which she replied, “We’ll see about it.”

In a previous leaked call, Young Thug commented about GloRilla’s appearance, describing her wig and features critically while stating he “would not pursue her, at all, ever.” Following the release of that audio, GloRilla tweeted about Thug’s behavior, saying he was contacting her to ask personal questions. Thug later apologized for his comments via social media.

At the 2025 MTV VMAs, GloRilla humorously referenced the situation when Sexyy Red posted a video of them together captioned, “Breaking news: Young Thug and Brianna, aka Briskee, make up.” GloRilla replied jokingly, “I’m glad we could get past [this].”

The name Brianna comes from a comment made by Mariah the Scientist, who noted that some people believe GloRilla resembles Rihanna. Young Thug had remarked that GloRilla looked more like “Brianna.”

On December 5, GloRilla is set to release two new singles titled “Special” and “March.” These tracks will mark her first solo releases since “Typa” came out in June. She has been active with features, including songs with Travis Scott, Halle, and Summer Walker.
