GloRilla claims she and her family are being treated like suspects in their own home invasion. In her first TV interview since the July incident, on Tuesday (Sept. 30), the “Typa” artist stated that they are investigating the possibility of conducting their own inquiry.

“She feels like she, her brother, and sister were the victims in this situation, but they’re being portrayed as suspects instead, she said to Channel 2’s Michael Seiden, and she believes this is completely unjust.”

A Memphis rapper’s Georgia residence was burgled in the early hours of July 20 by three masked men. At the time, she was in Las Vegas for the WNBA All-Star Weekend, but a family member at home fired shots at the intruders. Upon their later arrival, police allegedly discovered marijuana and a controlled substance on the premises.

Two days later, Glo voluntarily surrendered herself to the authorities and was released on her own recognizance the same day, after posting a $22,260 bond. “Rather than concentrating on identifying the suspects, they concentrate on some cannabis,” she wrote on X. To cut a long story short, my house was burgled and I’m the only one who got arrested. On the positive note, the rapper managed to earn some money by selling T-shirts featuring her own mugshot.

More than $700,000 worth of items were taken from her residence, prompting her brother and sister to reasonably contact the police in this situation, according to GloRilla’s attorney Drew Findling.

“The most disturbing aspect is that there appears to be complete inaction in this home invasion, yet within 24 hours, arrest warrants were issued for her due to a marijuana possession case,” he continued. “That’s unconscionable.”

GloRilla has been recently included on TIME100 Next List for 2025. See Teyana Taylor’s description of herself over there.
