Ghostface Killah – Metaphysics

Ghostface Killah Metaphysics

Ghostface Killah continues to rap with remarkable precision even after all these years, and his latest track, “Metaphysics,” exemplifies his skill. This song serves as the second promotional single for Supreme Clientele 2, which is set to be released next Friday, August 22. The Wu-Tang Clan member is receiving support from Nas’ Mass Appeal label for its distribution.

This track is part of the “Legend Has It” collection, which comprises seven albums from East Coast legends. To date, we have seen the release of two albums, including those from Ghostface’s Wu-Tang peer Raekwon and the iconic Slick Rick.

This marks another significant occasion for hip-hop, as it welcomes a sequel to one of the most esteemed albums that emerged at the dawn of the 2000s. Ghostface has expressed his desire to recapture the essence of the original tape. “Supreme Clientele was a frame of mind and era in time. You could never duplicate that feeling, but you can tap back in,” he remarked in a recent interview.

Thus far, we have appreciated the nods to this era, with “Rap Kingpin” being the other track released. In “Metaphysics,” Tony Starks showcases the same level of skill and urgency that he has maintained for nearly three decades.

In contrast to its predecessor, this track features a lighter vibe, characterized by a jazzy sample and a bright boom bap beat. Credit goes to Metaphysics and Ray Ray Scavo III for the production. In this piece, Killah delivers more boastful lyrics along with various flow changes.

It is both expressive and entertaining; what more could one desire? Supreme Clientele 2 is poised to be another successful venture for Nas.
