Flo Milli is able to sound melodic yet tough on a track. She has the nimbleness of SZA, yet can turn it up and be aggressive like GloRilla. It’s an impressive balance to strike, but the rapper manages to do it time and time again. “Wet Dreams” is the latest example of this balance being struck. Flo Milli teams up with Coop and gg for a song that lives up to its raunchy title. “Wet Dreams” gives the artists a chance to wax poetic on their fantasy partners. They also get a chance to flex on their haters, because what is a fun rap song without a little trash talk.
Coop’s guest verse is fun, and provides some nice variety on the back end of the track, but Flo Milli commands this thing from the opening moments. She skates over the beat with an airy vocal delivery that almost camouflage the crassness of the lyrics. “Young b*tch, and I’m turnt on they a*s, can’t lеt ’em breathe,” she spits. “I ain’t never gave a f*ck what no ho think (No ho think). Got me feelin’ like a boss, pour that rosé.” There’s an effortlessness and a confidence that’s undeniable about Flo Milli’s, well, flow. It doesn’t hurt that the instrumental is elite. Synth line float in and out, while the rattling hi hats keep the listener tethered to its hypnotic rhythm. Not a hit per say, but an excellent track.
