D4vd’s previous landlord is now handling the situation on his own initiative. TMZ reported on Tuesday, October 14, that Mladen Trifunovic, the owner of the Hollywood Hills home rented by the singer of the song “Romantic Homicide,” has employed a private investigator.

The update came just weeks after the Los Angeles Police Department searched the home as part of its investigation into the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The Los Angeles Times reported that detectives obtained a search warrant and took possession of “several electronic items,” including computers. D4vd allegedly terminated his lease only a few days after the search, even though the exact amount of time still left on the contract is unclear.

Trifunovic stated that detectives on the case have not provided him with any information. The private investigator that we hired is still working on the case, and I have no information to disclose at present, he stated to TMZ. At this stage in the process, I aim to show consideration for the LAPD’s investigation and the memory of the victim.

The Los Angeles Police Department issued a statement to the media outlet. An inquiry into this matter is still underway. Once further information becomes available, it will be made public by the Media Relations Division.

Last month, d4vd supposedly transferred ownership of his two Texas homes into his mother’s name. As we previously reported, police were dispatched to the first incident, a Houston-area residence, following a fraudulent swatting call that falsely alleged a shooting had occurred.

Bodycam footage revealed that the singer’s parents were greeting officers and explained that his younger siblings also resided at the location. The second property was reportedly transferred on September 22.

Up to now, d4vd hasn’t issued a public statement, despite reports suggesting he’s been cooperating with the authorities. The remaining North American shows of his “Withered World Tour” have been cancelled and the deluxe edition of WITHERED has been postponed from its original date of September 19.

Only a few old clips have resurfaced online, but little information has been released about Rivas Hernandez’s cause of death. As of Wednesday, October 15, the coroner’s website continues to show it as “deferred”.
