Bailando creates an immersive atmosphere with entrancing beats and harmonious melodic textures that quickly induce a trance-like state in the listener. The mood is lifted by Kubu’s brighter percussion and airy textures, which conjure up images of open skies and expansive dancefloors. The 6th of June unfolds inward, becoming a moody, cinematic passage that has the feel of an emotional diary entry brought to life through music. The set concludes with Umsindo Wehlanya, a track that showcases Afro-house’s capacity for both raw, intense energy and refined sophistication, ultimately yielding an invigorated yet contemplative listener experience.
