Ciza and Thukuthela’s unique and experimental EP, Isaka, which blends genres, was released on June 27, 2025, at 6am. A five-track project offers five separate regional interpretations of the song “Isaka (6am),” with each version incorporating sounds inspired by cities worldwide, including Joburg, Beirut, Ghana, Miami, and the original Jazzworx-assisted version.

CIZA made a recent appearance on ISAKA (6AM) alongside Jazzworx and Thukuthela.

At its core, “Isaka (6am)” is a soulful, slow-burning Amapiano track that captures the tranquility and dawn of early morning hours. The genius of the EP is found in its ability to subtly alter the track’s atmosphere by introducing variations in percussion, tempo, instrumental arrangement, and melodic phrasing to reflect the essence of various musical cultures. The Ghana mix exudes a warm, Afro-rooted swing, Joburg’s streets feature deep percussion, and the Miami edit has a coastal cool, with each song offering a distinct emotional perspective while maintaining the same underlying concept.

The project showcases Ciza’s aim to connect with a worldwide audience without sacrificing the essence of his African musical style.
