E-40 and Jason Martin, two of California’s longest-serving rappers, are offering words of wisdom to others. Their new collaboration “Too Much” has been released, as of this weekend.

The track is by E-40, and it is part of numerous collaborative projects. Thanks to the aforementioned message and theme, this particular one will not get overlooked. “In all the chaos that’s real, stop stressing about the fake stuff, man,” Jason Martin raps in the catchy chorus.

E-40’s signature rap style is evident throughout this track, with him consistently delivering honest lyrics. Don’t concern yourself with the deception, because the animosity will arise with the consequences / The common people are significantly delayed, delayed like holiday cargo / And, I’m one of the exceptional individuals, and that’s not open to discussion (Yep).

The instrumental track is elevated by its addictive quality. Infused with West Coast bounce and a catchy piano melody. E-40 and JasonMartin’s “Too Much” stands out as a particularly strong track and warrants immediate attention.

This new single is the latest release from an artist who has been performing at the NPR Tiny Desk for several decades, a Bay Area native. He was hired to launch this year’s Black Music Month celebrations and he succeeded in doing so in every respect.
