Drake is credited with writing all the tracks on “GIMME A HUG,” one of 21 songs featured on $OME $EXY $ONGS 4 U, and his only featured vocalist on this song is PARTYNEXTDOOR. The record is primarily composed of Drake’s vocals and lyrics, which reflect his personal viewpoint on the challenges he faced in 2024. 2025 also deserves recognition. Kendrick Lamar took a bold and provocative approach by attempting to convey a violent message on a massive public stage during the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Drake insists that the person in question is “very much alive.” He’s conveying the same message through one of the six solo tracks on this collaborative album. It’s shaping up to be one of the most popular tracks, given that everything he addresses is being covered in a broad and sweeping manner.

In part one, Drake is credited with garnering many critical nods for Kendrick Lamar at the GRAMMYs. The Boy’s die-hard supporters have held this sentiment since this feud started. “Using you for promotion, truer words have never been spoken / […] I appreciate the fans supporting me, this is actually just a small gesture.” He then introduces a beat switch and alters his rhythmic style and method of delivery. Here, he sets the Lamar feud aside and exclaims, “Forget about rap rivalries, I’m trying to get the party started / I’m trying to get the party started for the women.” Drake targets Joe Budden, a frequent critic of his, along with Melyssa Ford, saying “You’re a legend from the 6, it’s unfortunate to see you with someone who gives oral sex.” It’s reassuring to listen to him discuss all the issues on record.
