Drake Makes A Side Appearance In A Humorous Capacity On Canada’s “The Office Movers”

Before he rose to fame as the internationally known rapper, singer and songwriter we know today, Drake was initially introduced to the world as an actor on “Degrassi”. The 6 God recently showcased his acting skills in an appearance on Canadian streaming service Crave’s “The Office Movers” series.

Drizzy makes a brief appearance in the second season’s trailer, but he shared his comedic scene on Instagram on Thursday, November 6.

Drake’s character asks in the clip, ‘Do you guys have movers, but like, do you have actual guys?'” His inquiry results in more comedic ambiguity as he attempts to differentiate between labourers, as in the movers, and “guys,” as in, that remains unclear.

“Doesn’t any of this make sense to you?” asks Drake’s character. I may not be speaking English at all. I’m not aware. I may be speaking in a Guyanese accent. All the things we use for living are manufactured in Guyana. Do you follow what I’m saying? I’m on the verge of losing my mind.

A comedy series called “The Office Movers” revolves around two brothers who run a moving business, as they encounter Toronto’s commercial office market and experience numerous humorous situations peppered with local colloquialisms. The series was renewed for a third season before the premiere of its Season 2 on Friday, November 7. The “Passionfruit” rapper is allegedly close to the show’s producers, Jermaine “Jae” and Trevaunn “Trey” Richards. They both featured in sketches and samples on their high-profile collaborator’s More Life album.

“‘The Office Movers’ is a hilarious slapstick comedy which also has some heart,” stated Justin Stockman, vice president of Content Development & Programming at Bell Media in a statement. Jae and Trey’s sharp, culture-aware comedy keeps the show precisely in sync with the current mood, and we’re overjoyed they’ve secured a special appearance by one of Canada’s most renowned cultural icons.

It’s difficult to deny that Drake still has supporters in influential positions. To watch the new six-episode season of “The Office Movers” on Crave, you have to be in Canada, but its official trailer is available below.
