Drake, Julia Wolf, & Yeat – DOG HOUSE

Drake’s third livestream for ICEMAN left some fans feeling let down. The poor quality of the snippets scattered throughout the episode was also a concern. Hearing the complete version of “DOG HOUSE” may alter their opinions.

This is the second track to be released from last week’s playlist, alongside the Cash Cobain remix of “SOMEBODY LOVES ME.” “DOG HOUSE” also stars Julia Wolf and Yeat, marking the second track in the ICEMAN rollout to include a featured artist.

The alternative would be “Which One”, a collaboration with Central Cee. Drake takes the record in a more rage-like direction with his collaborator who made “IDGAF” back in the mix, as well as BNYX. At first glance, the beginning of the song might seem to contradict this impression.

The singer and songwriter Wolf, who often incorporates indie and hip-hop elements into her music, begins a track over an instrumental that is reminiscent of indie rock. Following her introduction, the music immediately shifts to a more recognizable sound associated with Drake.

For some, it may be disorienting, but to date, the song has been creating some commotion on social media’s fringes. We’ll see if it falls on Iceman, as Adin Ross asserts Drake told him that approximately 90% of the tracks we’ve heard on the streams aren’t on the LP.
