Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR have finally revealed the name of their highly anticipated collaborative project. The duo premiered a selection of brand new songs, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, on 3 February, in anticipation of Valentine’s Day, which is celebrated on 14 February.

The announcement was accompanied by a brief trailer showing Drake in a discreet corner of a speakeasy. The “God’s Plan” rapper appears to be preoccupied, lip syncing to the song in the background while ignoring the several women around him. Meanwhile, PARTYNEXTDOOR is singing, “I want to be your favorite again / Let’s reconnect on the jet on the way to where I live / Give you a second to get ready, then we’re back into action.”

Drake also posted a link to his “Members Only” playlist, which is curated from their most popular songs released over time and was inspired by their collaborative work, For All The Dogs. The collection of songs began with 2013’s “Over Here,” which featured fan favorites such as “Recognize” and “Come and See Me.” Tracks from If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late were also included, such as “Wednesday Night Interlude” and “Preach,” in addition to “Since Way Back” from More Life, which was released in 2017.

Drake’s “The Anita Max Win Tour” will already be in full swing by the time “Some Sexy Songs 4 U” is released. He has yet to confirm if there will be any supporting acts. The five-time Grammy Award-winning artist will begin the tour at Perth’s RAC Arena on February 4, then proceed to Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane before concluding in Auckland, New Zealand.

Drake’s last full-length project, apart from the singles released during his feud with Kendrick Lamar and other loose tracks from 100 GIGS, was For All The Dogs. The album housed tracks such as “Rich Baby Daddy” which featured SZA and Sexyy Red, “Virginia Beach,” and the chart-topping single “First Person Shooter” with J. Cole.

In contrast, PARTYNEXTDOOR released PARTYNEXTDOOR 4 (P4) in April 2024. The album comprised 14 tracks, featuring notable songs such as “R e s e n t m e n t” and “N o C h i l l.”
