The Season 51 premiere of “Saturday Night Live” is likely to be an effective opening. The first three hosts and musician guests were announced on Thursday, September 18, with Bad Bunny and Doja Cat performing on October 4.

This will be a surprising first appearance for Doja Cat on “Saturday Night Live.” The timing of her appearance on the show couldn’t be more opportune, considering her fifth studio album, Vie, was released just a week prior. She has previously hinted at the project through “Jealous Type” and its associated music video.

Bad Bunny is now essentially a frequent presence. In 2020, he made a cameo appearance, before hosting and performing as the musical guest in 2021 alongside Regé-Jean Page, and he came back in 2023 to serve as both host and performer.

Amy Poehler will then take over to host the October 11 episode with Role Model as the musical guest for the night. Sabrina Carpenter will take on a dual role as both host and performer on October 18. View the complete schedule as follows.

It’ll be thrilling to observe what medley Doja Cat creates for her “SNL” debut, particularly given that her upcoming album is set to be even more pop-oriented. Her website promoted the 15-track project as being “rich with retro textures and a sonic backdrop influenced by various sounds from the 1970s and 1980s.”

Vie will also delve into the themes of love, romance, and sex. In an interview with V Magazine, she recalled, “I recall a time when people were discussing a desire to be intimate with each other, and it appears to have become somewhat superficial and unauthentic.”

After the project’s release, Doja Cat will undertake the Australian portion of her “Ma Vie World Tour.” She will be experiencing her first arena performances in the country of Australia, also known as the land Down Under. A North American expansion is scheduled to be announced later.
