Currently, Doechii is in a position of great success and prominence. On February 2nd, the Swamp Princess won her very first Grammy Award, and in celebration, she released brand new music.

On Monday at midnight (Feb. 3), Doechii released “Nosebleeds” to commemorate her Best Rap Album award. The track lasted approximately two minutes and featured her expressing gratitude to her family at Top Dawg Entertainment and the Recording Academy.

She may end up losing her temper completely. Will she become insane? / Everyone was curious about Doechii’s reaction if she failed to win / I suppose we’ll never find out,’ she said, referencing Ye’s famous Grammy Award acceptance speech for The College Dropout, which won the same award in 2005.

The Florida phenomenon demonstrated its appreciation for SZA, Isaiah Rashad, and Anthony “Moosa” Tiffith Jr., the president of TDE. Listen to the record below.

Doechii, who also made an appearance that evening, was nominated for three accolades: Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance, and Best Rap Album. She lost the initial two to Chappell Roan and Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” as it was largely expected since he had won five awards on Sunday, however her Alligator Bites Never Heal took home the top prize for Best Rap Album.

I invested my entire being into the creation of this mixtape. I have been completely open about my life. I experienced a tremendous amount of difficulty. During her acceptance speech, Doechii stated that she committed herself to sobriety and was assured by God that she would be rewarded, with the promise that He would reveal to her the many benefits of a sober lifestyle.

Subsequently, she took a moment to inspire other Black women by saying: “I am aware that there are countless Black girls and numerous Black women currently watching me, and I want to convey this message to you: You are capable of achieving your goals.” Every possibility exists. Everything seems achievable.

Although marketed as a mixtape, Alligator Bites Never Heal featured notable tracks like “BOILED PEANUTS”, “DENIAL IS A RIVER” and the KUNTFETISH-supported “GTFO,” among others. This project also functioned as an intriguing precursor to Doechii’s studio debut album, scheduled for release in 2025.
