DDG – That’s My Ball

DDG assumes the position of the top performer on the court in his boastful and self-assured track, “That’s My Ball.” The Michigan artist first previewed it on his DDG Live YouTube channel, where he shares all of his content. Amusingly, he incorporated the viral LeBron James moment from 2020 when he exclaimed, “It ain’t our ball!?”.

Unfortunately, DDG chose to remove this sample from the final cut. However, the essence of his confidence remains intact. “That’s my ball, my b*tch is a ten / I’m tryna hoop with her and her friends (C’mon) / Most valuable player, I am / MVP, b*tch, I’m that man (Yeah, Shazam!).”

Another interesting aspect of this track is the production by FOREVEROLLING, who has worked with some of the most prominent names in rap. His portfolio includes collaborations with Kanye West, Lil Baby, EST Gee, Rod Wave, and others.

The beat evokes memories of what Playboi Carti showcased on MUSIC just a few months prior. Its sinister synths contribute a significant amount of energy and intensity. Overall, it enhances DDG’s relentless, all-out approach.

It is encouraging to witness the multi-talented artist maintaining such a high level of self-esteem, particularly in light of the current situation involving Halle Bailey.
