DDG & DaBaby – MOTION

Rumours circulated that April 1 was scheduled for the launch of DDG’s new project. It appears that those of us who were anticipating it have been April fools. We’re now being given another exciting track and the first official single for the project, “MOTION”. The track also includes a collaboration with DaBaby, marking their first time working together on a project. It’s likely that a title like “MOTION” would give away the subject matter at hand. It’s a brag-filled hit with some witty one-liners and similes if not. Our top preference for the track is definitely the beat.

The instrumentation exhibits a moody and dark quality that is worthy of appreciation. Being honest, this is genuinely very intoxicating. At this point, we have not received confirmation on a release date for the album. We have information on DDG’s subsequent release following his 2023 album Maybe It’s Me. The new title will be BLAME THE CHAT, featuring a wide range of innovative elements. Examples of potential artists include Wiz Khalifa and BIA, to mention just a couple. Two names stood out during his week-long “Hit-A-Thon” streaming event. This event started on March 24 and concluded last Monday, April 1. Viewers who tuned in at any point during it were able to provide their feedback on beats, verses, and so forth. The drop should be an entertaining and celebrity-laden occasion.
