Davido Responds To A Troll, Standing Up For His Privileged Background

Nigerian music star Davido has been drawn into a heated online controversy following an insulting post on X that targeted his privileged background.

A tweet posted by the troll that made fun of Davido’s family for having children living in America, Atlanta, and on Banana Island in Lagos, had a profound effect on the singer. Davido quickly fired back at the troll, stating “Your dad messed up and is taking it out on me because my dad worked hard … it’s crazy.” The singer’s response was a clear justification of his family’s wealth and the efforts his father had put in.

The latest online controversy follows Davido’s recent public apology to the Commissioner of Police, after he had previously threatened and accused the official of failing to act against the lawless individuals causing chaos in Osun State. The singer’s outburst was triggered by his uncle, Governor Adeleke’s statement that former Osun governor Gboyega Oyetola had allegedly plotted to cause unrest in Osun due to his connection with President Tinubu.
