Afrobeats artist David Adeleke, known as Davido, is marking a notable achievement at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations by correctly predicting the result of Nigeria’s first Group C match against Tanzania.

Before the match, held in Fes, Morocco, the singer anticipated that both Nigeria and Tanzania would score. His prediction was accurate, as Nigeria won the match 2–1 in an exciting game.

Nigeria earned all three points with a late goal from Ademola Lookman, starting their AFCON campaign on a positive note and validating Davido’s forecast. Reports indicate that his correct prediction resulted in a payout of $96,564.
